Meet The Cats

Find out more about the gorgeous cats and kittens we currently have in our care.

We have many cats and kittens waiting to find that special home. We usually have a waiting list for kittens - who doesn't love a cute fluffy little whirlwind?! But we have so many older cats that have so much love to give.

Sometimes rescue cats need a little extra time and understanding for them to feel safe and to return the love you show to them. Our foster carers provide loving homes and will do their utmost to provide the best environment to increase their levels of trust and confidence until you are ready to welcome them home.

Every cat has their own unique personality and needs, so we would encourage you to spend some time with them and ask the foster carer as many questions as you want. This will help make sure you are a good match for one another.

We regularly update the list of all our available cats on our catchat.org page. You can navigate through the listings below. Please keep checking regularly as new cats become available throughout the year.

The Adoption Process

If you see a cat you would like to adopt from the gallery above, or if you would like to make an enquiry, please use the contact form below and someone will be in touch with you.

Finding out a little about you

The first step in the process is to find out about you and the home you offer. We also ask your address to make sure the road you live on is suitable. Please be aware we don't home cats to properties on a main road.

We will need to know if you have any other pets currently, or have been a pet owner in the past. Also, whether there are any children at home, if you intend to keep your cat indoors and which vets you intend to use.

Meet the cat

The next step in the process is to put you in touch with the foster carer and they will make arrangements with you to visit your chosen cat. The foster carer will be able to tell you all about their personality, their health status and when they would be available to home.

All cats will be neutered or spayed unless they are below the age.  If this is the case, we will ask you to agree to have them neutered or spayed as soon as possible.

They will also be microchipped and vaccinated and you will be provided with the vaccination record. We will register the microchip and the microchip company will contact you once this is complete. All cats and kittens come with one month Petplan insurance.

Gotcha day!

On the collection date you will need to bring a pet carrier with you and have everything ready at home. The foster carer will be able to advise you which cat litter they are used to, which brand of food they eat and let you know when they were last treated for fleas and worms.

Donation fees will need to be paid before collection or by cash on collection and we will need to see some form of photo ID and proof of address.

Keep in touch

Finally, we would love to hear how your new family member is  settling into their new home. We become very attached to our charges and knowing that they are happy and loved makes saying goodbye easier.

Adoption Fees

We ask for a minimum donation of £125 per kitten/cat as they will go to their new homes:

  • vet checked
  • deflead and wormed with prescription products
  • microchipped
  • with at least the first part of flu and enteritis vaccination
  • kittens and cats over six months old will also be spayed/neutered
  • four weeks introductory insurance with Petplan

Please note that we can accept donations in cash, cheque or bank transfer. We do NOT have the facility to take donations by debit or credit card.

For feral cats being placed there is a minimum donation of £25 per cat and we would prefer that they live in groups of three or more. Our team will attend your setting to help choose the right location and give advice on how to prevent escapes and how to create an environment that is easy to maintain.

Bringing Your Cat/Kitten Home

Every home is individual and whatever your situation it is worth considering the needs of your new cat/kitten before bringing them home.

The foster carer will be able to provide you with lots of advice and information and you can visit our FAQs page for more. We have advice on how to set up your cats new environment, how to introduce them to children and other pets and how to settle them in. We are always available if you have any questions and are happy to be contacted at any point should you have any concerns.
